The blazing hot streak that began in early April for Fantasy 5 players has come to an end, but not before making the dreams of many Michigan Lottery players come true!
The streak began on April 7 and ended Saturday, when no one won the $274,920 jackpot. The last Fantasy 5 jackpot won was on Oct. 4 when one lucky ticket matched all five winning numbers – 16-20-24-27-30 – to win a $225,192 jackpot. The winning ticket was bought at the Meijer gas station, located at 1703 Haggerty Highway in Commerce Township in Oakland County.
The Fantasy 5 jackpot has been won at least once per week during the streak, with more than two jackpot wins each week, on average. In total, 57 jackpots totaling more than $8.8 million were won. On Aug. 29, three lucky players split a $731,607 jackpot, the largest amount won during the streak and so far this year for the Fantasy 5 game.
The Fantasy 5 jackpot winners came from across the state, including a Menominee County woman who won $105,000 in the game’s June 11 drawing. The streak winners also included a Pennsylvania man who won $144,707 on April 30 with a ticket bought in Sterling Heights.
The winning ticket holders from the April 26, July 28, Aug. 3 and Oct. 4 Fantasy 5 drawings have yet to claim those prizes. Those winning tickets total more than $500,000 in jackpot prizes.
- April 26: $159,835, bought at the Dearborn Amoco Service Station, located at 22096 Michigan Avenue in Dearborn
- July 28: $52,500 ($105,000 split between two players), bought at the BP gas station, located at 34901 Ann Arbor Trail in Livonia
- Aug. 3: $138,056, bought at the Meijer gas station, located at 7149 East Saginaw Street in East Lansing
- Oct. 4: $225,192, bought at the Meijer gas station. Located at 1703 Haggerty Highway in Commerce Township
Although the impressive streak of Fantasy 5 jackpot winners has come to an end, a new streak may have just begun. One lucky ticket matched the five winning numbers – 02-19-30-37-38 – to win a $328,843 Fantasy 5 jackpot on Sunday. The winning ticket was bought at the Harrison Wine and Liquor Market, located at 735 Harrison Boulevard in Lincoln Park.
The lucky ticket holders should contact the Lottery’s Public Relations Division at (517) 373-1237 to set up appointments to claim their prize. Tickets for Fantasy 5 are valid for one year from the drawing date. Prizes of more than $50,000 must be claimed at the Lottery headquarters in Lansing.
Each Fantasy 5 play is only $1. For an additional $1 per play, EZmatch may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a chance to win up to $500 instantly. Fantasy 5 players select five numbers from one to 39. Players who match all five Fantasy 5 numbers drawn win a jackpot guaranteed to start at $100,000. Fantasy 5 drawings are held seven days a week at 7:29 p.m.
