An Oakland County woman claimed a $6 million Lotto 47 jackpot from Sept. 27 with this $1 easy pick ticket.
An Oakland County woman is the latest Lotto 47 multi-millionaire after claiming a $6 million jackpot at Michigan Lottery headquarters today.
The player, who chose to remain anonymous, won the big jackpot by matching the six winning Lotto 47 numbers drawn on Sept. 27: 04-17-32-34-41-47. She bought her $1 easy pick winning ticket at the 7-Eleven, located at 27375 West 11 Mile Road in Southfield.
The player learned she was the jackpot winner only a few days ago. She made another stop at 7-Eleven to purchase tickets for the upcoming Mega Millions drawing and got a big surprise when she had the clerk check her Lotto 47 ticket. She chose to receive her winnings in a one-time lump sum payment of more than $3.8 million.
The Sept. 27 drawing marked the fourth time that the Lotto 47 jackpot has been won this year. At $6 million, it also was the largest jackpot won in 2014. Other Lotto 47 jackpot winners this year were:
- March 19 – Oakland County Lottery Club, $5.5 million
- May 21 – Jeff LeBar, of Manistique, $3.3 million
- June 14 – A Macomb County man, who chose to remain anonymous, $1.3 million
Each Lotto 47 play is only $1. Players select six numbers from one to 47 for a chance to win a jackpot starting at $1 million that grows until someone wins it. For an additional $1 per game, players may add EZMatch to their ticket for a chance to win up to $500 instantly. Lotto 47 drawings take place on Wednesday and Saturday at 7:29 p.m. The jackpot for Saturday’s drawing is $1.15 million.
