Michigan Lottery PowerballIf your friends and neighbors seem a bit more preoccupied, chances are they’re making plans for Wednesday night’s $257 million Powerball jackpot. The cash value of the big jackpot is $151.9 million.

The growing jackpot is the second largest Powerball jackpot of 2014. In February, B. Raymond Buxton, of northern California, claimed this year’s largest jackpot of $425.3 million. He chose to take a one-time lump sum payment of more than $242 million.
