Powerball players are heading to the 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers around the state as anticipation builds for one of the game’s largest jackpots of 2014. Players are eager for a chance to buy the winning ticket for Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot that currently stands at $192 million. The cash value of the jackpot is $114.8 million.
The current jackpot of $192 million is the second largest Powerball jackpot of 2014. In February, B. Raymond Buxton, of northern California, claimed this year’s largest jackpot of $425.3 million. He chose to take a one-time lump sum payment of more than $242 million.
Tomorrow’s Powerball drawing will take place at 10:59 p.m. Tickets for the drawing must be purchased before 9:45 p.m.
Powerball plays may be purchased for $2 each. A “Power Play” option that can multiply non-jackpot prizes by up to five times may be added to any Powerball play for only $1.
The Powerball drawing may be watched live on the Lottery’s network of stations: WBKB-TV 11 (CBS), WDIV-TV 4 (NBC), WNEM-TV 5 (CBS), WXSP-TV (MyNetwork TV), WLAJ-TV 53 (ABC), WLUC-TV 6 (NBC/FOX) and WGTU-TV 29/WGTQ-TV 8 (ABC).
