Time Running Out to Claim $100,000 Fantasy 5 Prize with Ticket Bought in Novi

Fantasy 5Time is running out to claim a $100,000 prize from the Michigan Lottery.  If the holder of the winning Fantasy 5 ticket doesn’t come forward by 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, the big prize will go to the state School Aid Fund.

The winning ticket is for the May 8, 2013 Fantasy 5 drawing and matched all five of the winning numbers:  04-22-27-36-37. It was purchased the 7-Eleven located at 24111 Meadowbrook in Novi.

The ticket holder should contact the Lottery’s Public Relations Division at (517) 373-1237 for an appointment to claim the prize at the Lottery headquarters in Lansing.

Three major Michigan Lottery prizes have gone unclaimed since March 10, adding nearly $639,000 to the School Aid Fund.  Two of the winning tickets were bought in Southfield. The third was sold in Flint. The unclaimed prizes were:

      • $250,000 Mega Millions prize.  The winning ticket expired on April 14.  It was bought in Southfield, at the 8 Mile Foodland, 18880 8 Mile Road.
      • $250,000 Mega Millions prize.  The winning ticket expired on March 31.  It was bought in Flint, at the South End Market, 1701 S. Saginaw Street.
      • $138,727 Fantasy 5 prize.  The winning ticket expired on March 10.  It was bought in Southfield, at the Smokers Depot & Convenience, 27214 West 8 Mile Road.

The Lottery contributed $734.3 million to the School Aid Fund in the 2013 fiscal year.  That works out to about $483 for each of the 1.52 million pupils in the state’s kindergarten-through-12th grade system.
