Powerball’s $1 Power Play add-on-option will return to the random multiplier!  This change starts with the drawing that takes place tonight.

For just $1 more per play, players can increase their non-jackpot prizes by 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x with the add-on Power Play option. The Power Play number is selected at random just before the Powerball drawings on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Additionally, Powerball tickets that are purchased with the Power Play option included will now have “YES” on the ticket. With this change, players matching five white balls and also playing Power Play will win $2 million automatically, regardless of the Power Play number that is selected.

Powerball tickets must be purchased before 9:45 p.m. the day of the drawing to be included in that night’s drawing.
