While tickets sold in California and Georgia split the $648 million jackpot in last night’s Mega Millions drawing, more than 864,000 lucky Michigan players won prizes ranging from $1 to $1 million!
The winning numbers were 08-14-17-20-39 and Gold Mega Ball 07.
One ticket sold in Michigan matched five numbers to win $1 million. The millionaire-making ticket was sold in Niles, at Martin’s Super Market on 720 S. 11th St.
In addition to the $1 million winning ticket, Michigan had three $20,000 winners who matched four white balls plus the Gold Mega ball with Megaplier add-on option.
The $20,000 winning tickets were sold at:
- Soenen’s Market, located at 27360 S. River Rd. in Harrison Township
- One Stop Party Shoppe, located at 16530 21 Mile Rd (Garfield) in Macomb
- CVS Pharmacy, located at 413 E. Michigan Ave. in Saline
Mega Millions sales in Michigan for Tuesday night’s drawing were reported at more than $12.5 million.
Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot, $648 million, was the second largest ever in the game’s history and in U.S. Lottery history.

The $1 million winner should contact the Lottery’s Public Relations Division at
517-373-1237 to schedule an appointment to claim the prize. Winners of prizes greater than $600 can claim their prize at a Lottery regional claim center. All other Mega Millions winnings can be claimed at any Lottery retailer.
