Congrats to the three “Play It Again” finalists from the August 7 drawing. These finalists were chosen from all entries received between August 4, 2012 and August 2, 2013 for the opportunity to win the $1,000,000 prize:
- Ron Borus of Reading
- Jim Alvesteffer of Rockford
- Sandy Dennis of Lake Orion
The lucky winner will choose between a one-time lump-sum payment of $735,492 (before taxes) or the annuitized prize equating to annual payments of $50,000 for 20 years to earn the guaranteed $1 million prize!
Be sure to mark your calendar for Thursday, September 19! That’s when you will tune in with your own front row seat during the exciting competition between the three finalists as one extremely lucky competitor becomes Michigan’s next millionaire!
The Michigan Lottery’s “Play It Again” $1,000,000 Giveaway will air at 7:55 p.m. on the following stations: WBKB Channel 11 in Alpena; WDIV Channel 4 in Detroit; WNEM Channel 5 in Flint; WXSP Channel 15 in Grand Rapids; WLAJ Channel 53 in Lansing; WLUC Channel 6 in Marquette; WMKG Channel 40 in Muskegon; and WGTU Channel 29/WGTQ Channel 8 in Traverse City.
The “Play It Again” Giveaway began late last year. Players qualified for the 2nd Chance event by entering non-winning Lottery tickets into their free Player’s Club account via michiganlottery.com. For every $10 worth of non-winning tickets entered, the player earned one entry into the contest. Additionally, Player’s Club members could use their Reward Points to enter the drawing!
As of August 3, players will need to redeem points they have accumulated in their Player’s Club account for entries into “Play It Again”; rather than earning automatic entries by submitting the codes from their non-winning tickets, now players can simply log on to their account then go to the Rewards and Prizes catalog and select the “Play It Again” $1 million Giveaway. With just 10 reward points, rather than the previous 40 points, players can earn one entry into the drawing! Players can enter as often as their point totals allow.
