The $2 Raise The Stakes ticket, which went on sale Tuesday, includes over $7 million in total instant-win cash prizes. While everyone loves a cash prize, early indications are that the social components of the game, like the opportunity to pool second chance entries to win a progressive jackpot and a chance to win daily drawings, are extremely popular with players.
As of early June 7, Lottery players have submitted over 50,000 entries into Raise the Stakes. Twenty lucky players have been randomly selected to receive $100 prizes in the daily drawings, which will continue through October 22.
Players can enter via raisestakes.com. They can also use the free Raise The Stakes app or the tickets QR code to enter their codes.
Raise The Stakes also offers players the chance to create or join teams for a chance at the 10 Raise The Stakes progressive jackpot drawings. For these drawings, players can choose to keep their entries for themselves or assign them to a team for a shot at increasing their chances to win! Every entry the player or one of their team members submit raises their potential progressive jackpot prize by $500. It takes 60 entries to “raise the stakes” to the maximum prize of $30,000!
So far, over 2,000 teams have been created with 15,000 entries for the first progressive jackpot, which will be drawn on June 19. In each drawing, if the entry selected was assigned to an individual, then that individual wins the entire progressive jackpot. If the entry selected was assigned to a team, then each member of the team receives $500 for each entry he or she contributed.
Winners of the drawings are listed at raisestakes.com.
In addition to the options available with the Raise The Stakes ticket, players can also enter to win a Raise The Stakes gift bundle when they follow the Michigan Lottery on Twitter and tweet about the game to their friends. Each day a player tweets, he or she earns an entry into a drawing to win $100 Raise The Stakes tickets and an Apple® iPod touch®. Four drawings with two winners each will be conducted on June 12, June 19, June 26 and July 3.
