A 69-year-old player from Wyoming took his grandson with him when he went to play the Lottery. He usually plays draw games, but an instant ticket caught his grandson’s eye. “Granddad, buy that one,” said the boy, pointing to the silver and green Instant Riches ticket (IG#624). When the grandfather asked what was special about that ticket, the boy responded that he liked the green, and they should get the ticket in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.

Later, at home, the player scratched the ticket and…“I was dumbfounded,” he said. “I thought my glasses were playing tricks on me.”  The lucky player immediately called his grandson to give him the good news, and to thank him. “He’s going to get something special!” said the lucky granddad.

The happy winner said he would use the funds to pay debts, open accounts for his grandchildren, and save for retirement.

The winning ticket was sold at Admiral Petroleum Co. #23 located at 3221 S. Division Ave. in Grand Rapids.
