Army Veteran wins $1.3 million!

Classic Lotto 47He usually plays Fantasy 5, but while he was buying his Fantasy 5 ticket, the clerk said to him “are you sure you don’t want another ticket?” So, he pulled the last four quarters from his pocket and told the clerk “give me one of those Classic Lotto 47 tickets, easy pick.”

The next day, when he returned to the store to check his ticket numbers, he discovered that he was a millionaire! “I got weak in the knees while I was standing at the counter, after he (the retailer) told me I had matched all six numbers,” said the player, who wants to remain anonymous.

The player repeatedly stated that winning the Classic Lotto 47 jackpot of $1,300,000 had come at just the right time in his life. Disabled with back injuries since 2009, the winner also had family issues to attend to that required funds that he (previously) didn’t have.

The Army Veteran intends to use the money to help his four children “This is a direct blessing from God,” he stated.  “Now everybody will be okay.”

The winning ticket was sold at Towns Mart located at 13200 32 Mile Rd. in Washington.

In fiscal year 2012, the Lottery’s contribution to schools was approx. $770 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $17 billion to education in Michigan.
