Fantasy 5 makes golden years richer for Dearborn couple!

Fantasy 5A couple from Dearborn have had a lot of experiences together during their 46 years of marriage. They came from another country to settle in the U.S. decades ago, they have had children and grandchildren together, and they even won the Lottery previously for a prize of $5,000.

But their latest experience has been one of the best! This lucky family that wishes to remain anonymous, won $268,481 which is half of the July 17 Fantasy 5 jackpot.

The family plans to use the money to flip houses. They plan to use the income earned to pay on-going medical bills for their daughter who is ill.

The winning ticket was sold at D & T Marathon located at 1300 Southfield Fwy. in Dearborn.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2011, the contribution to schools was over $727.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed over $16 billion to education in Michigan.
