The winner of the May 2 Classic Lotto 47 jackpot will pocket a lot of payout! The jackpot, which hasn’t been won since January 18, 2012, rolled over 29 times until it found a winner.
The winning ticket, worth $6,319,677, was sold at 7-Eleven 159H located at 1915 S. Euclid Ave. in Bay City.
To claim the prize, the fortunate player will need to contact Michigan Lottery Public Relations at 517-373-1237 to set up an appointment.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2011, the contribution to schools was over $727.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed over $16 billion to education in Michigan.
