Club Keno player takes home $93,733!

Michigan Lottery Club KenoAn avid Lottery player tried his luck playing Club Keno at his favorite pub and ended up taking home $93,733! He and his wife were at the bar when they saw their numbers come up on the screen. “We were very surprised,” he said.

The player, who has decided to remain anonymous, said that he’s going to use most of the money to pay off debts. But he is also going to set some aside to take a small vacation with his grandchildren and buy his wife a better car.

The winning ticket was sold at Ted’s Sports Pub & Grill located at 770 West St. in Lapeer.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2011, the contribution to schools was over $727.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed over $16 billion to education in Michigan.
