William Hollins Jr. got the news that he had won by watching TV. “I yelled when I saw it, I couldn’t believe it,” he stated.
Hollins won $55,000 in the February 27 Fantasy 5 drawing. Hollins split the $110,000 jackpot with a winner from Flint who has not yet claimed the prize. Hollins picked his numbers from family birth dates. When asked how he felt about winning, he described it as a “very joyful time.”
The Detroit resident intends to buy his wife Nellie a new car and “pay some bills.”
Hollins bought his winning ticket at Oak Liquor and Wine located at 13700 W.8 Mile Rd. in Oak Park. The second winning ticket was sold by Lucky Star Food Market located at 3917 W. Court St. in Flint.
