A lucky Lansing grandmother matched ten of 22 numbers and won the Keno jackpot! The player, who wishes to remain anonymous, has been playing the same numbers every day since Keno started in 1990.
She found out she was a winner by taking her ticket to a “Lucky Spot” machine which instructed her to talk to the retailer. He confirmed that her ticket was a winner. She plans to use the money to pay bills and buy a new car.
When handed her prize check she couldn’t stop repeating “I can’t believe it.”
The winning ticket was sold by Downtown Party Store located at 428 S. Washington Square in Lansing, Michigan.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers.
