A Lottery player could miss out of a $213,745 prize if they fail to claim a Fantasy 5 ticket that is set to expire soon!
The ticket, from the February 8, 2011 drawing, is worth $213,745. The winning ticket was purchased at the BP Station located at 55052 Van Dyke Avenue in Shelby Township.
The winning numbers were 12-25-27-37-39. Players must match the first five numbers exactly as shown to win the prize and must have their original ticket.
The prize will expire on Wednesday, February 8, 2012; the ticket holder must claim the prize by 4 p.m. in Lansing on that date. The winner must contact the Lottery’s Public Relations Division at (517)373-1237 to set up an appointment to claim the prize.
Fantasy 5 tickets and all other terminal-based tickets are valid one year from the draw date. If the prize goes unclaimed, the money will be deposited into the state School Aid Fund, which is the beneficiary of all Lottery profits.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2011, the contribution to schools was over $727.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed over $16 billion to education in Michigan.
