A woman who chose to remain anonymous was wildly excited after discovering she won the top prize of $300,000 on the Michigan Lottery’s Wild Time Mania instant ticket.

She mentioned that she would be paying off bills and starting two college education funds for her children when asked about any particular plans for her winnings.

The winning ticket was purchased at Diag Party Shoppe Inc, 340 S. State St., in Ann Arbor.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2011, the contribution to schools was over $727.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed over $16 billion to education in Michigan.
