LANSING, December 9, 2011 – If you purchase a non-winning Lottery ticket, don’t throw it away! You can “Play It Again” for a chance to win $1 million!
“Play It Again” will offer players the opportunity to enter any non-winning ticket including instant tickets and those from all draw games. That means that all non-winning Michigan Lottery tickets can help a lucky player become a big winner! To participate, players must join the free Michigan Lottery Player’s Club at michiganlottery.com. For every $10 worth of eligible tickets entered, one (1) entry into the $1 million drawing is earned.
“Play It Again” begins on December 10, 2011 and replaces “Instant Replay”, which only allowed non-winning instant tickets to be entered.
Finalists drawings, including one for “Instant Replay” entries that were eligible before “Play It Again” started, will determine three players who will vie for the $1 million grand prize drawing in September 2012.
Members of the Player’s Club can also enter drawings to win other prizes, sign up for text alerts and enjoy various other special benefits. Go to www.michiganlottery.com for all the details.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2011, the contribution to schools was over $727.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed over $16 billion to education in Michigan.
“The Michigan Lottery. All across the state good things happen.”
