Raffle winners continue collecting big prizes!

LANSING, January 28, 2011 – More winners have come forward to claim large prizes on the Michigan Lottery’s Millionaire Raffle. Eight lucky players traveled to Lansing this week to claim $100,000 and $1 million prizes!

Anthony Strukel of Battle Creek was the lucky winner of a $100,000 prize. Stukel’s lucky number is “3” so when he bought his third raffle ticket and saw that the first and last numbers of the raffle number were 3s, he just knew he was going to win. Also, his friend in Indiana won $125,000 on a scratch-off ticket a few weeks ago, so he knew luck was on his side. The winning ticket was purchased at the West Michigan C-Store #09, 1520 Michigan Ave. W, in Battle Creek.

Terry Sherven of Freeland claimed a winning $1 million ticket. The assistant-store manager of Pat’s Food Center, the location where the ticket was purchased, couldn’t believe he won.

“Everyone kept telling me I was the winner,” said Sherven. “But I didn’t believe it until I saw for myself. Even then it took awhile to sink in.”

Sherven purchased the winning ticket at his store, Pat’s Food Center, 7620 Midland Rd., in Freeland.

Additionally, four anonymous winners claimed $100,000 prizes on tickets purchased at Speedway #8829, 67335 Gratiot Ave., in Richmond; Murphy USA #7092, 579 E. Genesee St., in Lapeer; Tillman’s Restaurant and Lounge, 1245 Monroe NW, in Grand Rapids; and Howard Market, 1107 Howard St., in Saginaw and two winners claimed $1 million prizes on tickets purchased at Bonicki’s Sports Bistro; 1891 E. Apple Ave., in Muskegon and Sax Discount, 22525 Wick Rd., in Taylor.
