LANSING, February 12, 2010 – On December 22, 2008, the drawing for the winning Cadillac Escalade number, 672 1171, was conducted. Over a year passed without a winner coming forward and finally, just three weeks shy of the prize expiring, a very lucky Lottery player has come forward!

The player, who wished to remain anonymous, didn’t know the winning Cadillac number until a family member checked the Lottery’s Web site. After realizing they held the winning ticket, the winner immediately called Lottery Central to make arrangements to claim the new Cadillac Escalade.

The Escalade, valued at $84,645, was the top prize on the Michigan Lottery’s Cadillac Cash instant ticket. Over one million players entered in the drawing for the prize. The Lottery will pay all taxes on the vehicle.

Cadillac Cash is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

Over 98.5 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2009, the contribution to schools was $724.5 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
