LANSING, September 15, 2009 – An anonymous player claimed a $212,142 Fantasy 5 jackpot. The winner matched all five numbers in the September 11 drawing to win the prize.

The lucky own-pick ticket was purchased at Smokers Palace, 1423 N. Leroy St., in Fenton.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2008, the contribution to schools was over $740.7 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
