Lake Orion retailer sells two winning tickets!

LANSING, August 27, 2009 – G’s Pizzeria Deli in Lake Orion sold two winning Club Keno tickets both worth $11,009 on the same day!

Janel Scharich of Saginaw and an anonymous player from Sterling Heights both won on multi-draw tickets. Both players placed a 6-spot wager and matched four of six numbers on one draw; three of six numbers and bet the Kicker, which came up as a 2X on a second draw; and matched matched six of six numbers and bet the Kicker, which came up as a 10X on another draw, bringing both of their total winnings to $11,009!

The winning own-pick tickets were purchased at the G’ Pizzeria Deli, 2775 S. Lapeer Rd., in Lake Orion.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins. The Kicker option allows players to multiply their winnings by up to 10 times!

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2008, the contribution to schools was $740.7 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
