LANSING, June 15, 2009 – A winning Fantasy 5 ticket worth $197,730 has been claimed! An anonymous man from LaPorte, Indiana claimed the prize at Lottery Central after he matched all five numbers in the April 28 drawing.

The regular Lottery player has made no plans for the prize money.

The winning easy-pick ticket was purchased at Admiral Petroleum #102 , 640 W. Chicago Rd., in Niles.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2008, the contribution to schools was over $740.7 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
