LANSING, April 8, 2009 – Million Dollar Mega Play is a mega hit! On sale for just three weeks, the popular game has paid over $3,800,000 to thousands of lucky winners.
In addition to claiming lower-tier prizes ranging from $15 to $1,000, one top $1 million prize was claimed by an anonymous woman. The lucky ticket was purchased at the Southside Super Deli, 2000 Brooklyn Rd., in Jackson. 11 top $1 million prizes remain.

Million Dollar Mega Play went on sale Monday, March 16 and features 12 top prizes of $1 million- the most the Lottery has ever offered on an instant ticket.
Along with the 12 $1 million prizes, the Million Dollar Mega Play ticket, which sells for $10, includes millions of dollars in other prize amounts, including over 200 prizes of $10,000 and nearly 15,000 prizes of $100. In total, there are over 950,000 winning tickets available, totaling over $32 million in cash prizes.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2008, the contribution to schools was $740.7 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
