Three top Million Dollar Madness prizes remain!

LANSING, February 11, 2009 – The eighth top million dollar prize on the Lottery’s Million Dollar Madness Instant ticket has been claimed by an anonymous Lottery player. Only three of the original 11 $1 million prizes remain.

Million Dollar Madness  has offered the most opportunities ever for players to win $1 million on an Instant ticket. Since the ticket went on sale August 29, the Michigan Lottery has presented eight very lucky players with the top $1 million prize! Another $16,500,000 in prize money has been awarded to over one million Million Dollar Madness players.

The most recent lucky winning ticket, which was claimed on February 9, was purchased at Village Mini Mart, 1100 S. Euclid Ave., in Bay City.

Million Dollar Madness  is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide. Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2008, the contribution to schools was $740.7 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
