LANSING, November 10, 2008 -Three more $100,000 top Super Raffle prizes have been claimed. Less than two weeks after the November 5 drawing, only six of the top 20 prizes have gone unclaimed.

Three more anonymous players collected their $100,000 prizes at Lottery central this week. The lucky tickets were purchased at Bandar’s Inc. in Southfield, Smokers Only in Waterford, and CVS Pharmacy 08026 in Troy.

Since the drawing took place on November 5, the Michigan Lottery has paid out over $5 million in prizes. Winners claiming top prizes so far include an anonymous Lottery player who won a $2 million prize on a ticket purchased at the Bridge Lake Market in Clarkston and an anonymous Lottery club who collected a $2 million prize on a ticket purchased at the Mug and Jug Party Shop in Farmington.

Additionally, John Marshall from Shelbyville and 10 anonymous players each claimed a $100,000 prize. The lucky tickets were purchased at Orangeville 66 in Shelbyville, the Red Oak Lounge in Sanford, Goldsworthy’s Marathon in Hastings, Marias Italian Bakery in Ypsilanti, Lyons Mini Mart in South Lyon, the Mayflower Market in Plymouth, Northwestern Shell in Farmington Hills, the Windmill Truck Stop in Dimondale, Brass Mug Liquor in Livonia, the Walled LK Liquor Station in Walled Lake, and Happy Days Party Shop in Warren.

This was the fourth Super Raffle offered by the Lottery. Featured were two prizes of $2 million each, 20 prizes of $100,000, 4,000 prizes of $500 and 10,000 prizes of $100. 

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2008, the contribution to schools was over $740 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
