LANSING, September 22, 2008 – The first half of the winning August 23 $264,103 Fantasy 5 ticket purchased in Mt. Morris has been claimed by an anonymous woman. Two people matched the same five numbers drawn and split the jackpot.

The lucky winning own-pick ticket was purchased at Al & Jerry’s Market, 7110 N. Saginaw St., in Mt. Morris.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
