LANSING, September 22, 2008 – Rade Krsteski of Shelby Twp. claimed a $250,000 prize after matching all five Mega Millions white balls in the August 19 drawing.
Krsteski, who only plays the Lottery “every once in a while,” picked his own numbers and hid the ticket in a secret place prior to cashing in at Lottery Central in Lansing. The lucky winner plans to use the money for retirement.
Krsteski purchased the lucky winning ticket at 7-Eleven, 4705 24 Mile Rd., in Shelby Twp.
Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
