Cadillac Cash prize claimed

LANSING, September 12, 2008 – A lucky Lottery player bought her winning ticket before going to work, and despite a $75,000 prize, still had to put in an 11-hour shift.

A regular Lottery player, Rayanne Drensky of West Branch bought the ticket on her grandma’s birthday. She kept the ticket in her purse prior to cashing it at the Lottery’s Lansing Office. She plans to buy a handicap van for her mom and help pay for school with the prize money.

Drensky purchased her lucky winning ticket at Turners West Side, 3737 W M76, in West Branch.

Cadillac Cash is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
