Retiree claims $10,000

LANSING, May 1, 2008 – A lucky 85-year-old man claimed his $10,000 Mega Millions prize after matching four white ball numbers and the gold Mega ball number in the April 22 drawing.

Floyd Humphries of Madison Heights learned of his good fortune after reading the numbers in his local paper. He has no immediate plans for his prize money.

Humphries purchased the lucky own-pick ticket at CVS/Pharmacy 08033, 27050 John R. Rd., in Madison Heights.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
