LANSING, April 15, 2008 – A very lucky 59-year-old won big when her 10-spot Club Keno ticket won a huge amount of money! She scored even more when she selected the kicker option!
The lucky winner matched three different times on the same ticket. She matched nine of 10 with a 2X kicker, five of 10 with a 2X kicker and zero of 10 with a 1X kicker for a grand total of $10,009!
The lucky regular Lottery player picked her own numbers and plans on investing the money. She enjoys golfing and gardening in her free time.
The winning ticket was purchased at Bottoms Up Food & Spirits, 14007 Dixie Hwy., in Holly.
Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
