Madison Heights winner claims prize

p>LANSING, February 11, 2008 – A lucky winner walked away with $110,000 after matching all five numbers in the Jan. 15 Fantasy 5 drawing.

The winner said he has been playing the Lottery for 20 years and this is his largest win to date. He plans to use the easy pick prize to pay bills and buy a new computer.

The winning ticket was purchased at Woodside Market, 30257 John R St., in Madison Heights.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
