Muskegon club claims prize

LANSING, February 8, 2008 – Winning was a family affair for cousins Tony and Chad Kiel!

The duo matched all five numbers in the Feb. 1 Fantasy 5 drawing to win $166,885! The two split the jackpot prize.

Kiel’s Gambling Club has been playing together for about six months; they play Fantasy 5 and Mega Millions. This is the largest win to date for both.

Tony said he plans to use the prize money to pay bills, while Chad plans to pay off his car and make a down payment on a house. Both were excited with the win.

The lucky own-pick ticket was purchased at Speedway #6297, 2797 Henry St., in Muskegon.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
