Chesterfield man claims Fantasy 5 prize

LANSING, December 20, 2007 – An anonymous man is $100,000 richer after matching all five numbers in the Nov. 30 Fantasy 5 drawing!

The regular married Lottery player told Lottery officials he was “calm” after learning of his good fortune. He hid the easy pick ticket in a dresser drawer before claiming his prize at Lottery Central in Lansing.

The Chesterfield man has a lot of plans with his money, including paying bills, helping his children and giving to charity.

The winning ticket was purchased at Hanna B Inc., 33925 23 Mile Rd., in Chesterfield Twp.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
