LANSING, December 12, 2007 – The Michigan Lottery will have a new home in West Michigan!
Beginning tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 13, players can cash tickets at the new office located at 3391-B Plainfield Ave. NE, in Grand Rapids. The new phone number is 616-364-3372.
The current office, located at 1288 28th St., in Wyoming, will permanently close today. Players can claim prizes until 3:30 p.m.
“We are excited to open our new office in Grand Rapids, and expect the new facility will continue to serve our players on the west side of the state.” said Acting Lottery Commissioner Tom Weber.
Players who win any prize over $600 but less than $50,001 must visit one of the Lottery’s Regional offices or licensed bank claim centers to redeem tickets. Othe
Regional offices are located in Detroit, Dearborn Heights, Sterling Heights, Lansing and Saginaw.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
