Longtime player wins $250,000!

LANSING, November 2, 2007 – Higher education is in the cards for one lucky Mega Millions player!  Chris Rozyla of Flint plans to use his Mega Millions cash to go back to school.

The lucky winner, who matched all five white ball numbers in the October 26 drawing, said the win was “an incredible surprise.”

He purchased the easy pick winning ticket at Genesee Liquor Market, 3433 N. Genesee Rd., in Flint.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
