Game Book pays off

LANSING, October 18, 2007 – A very lucky Clinton Township woman is $10,000 richer after she scratched a winning $10,000,000 Game Book Instant ticket.

Peggy Loverde said she had to have her ticket validated before she could believe it was a winner.  She has been playing the Lottery for five years and hid the winning ticket in her desk drawer until claiming the prize.

She plans to use her prize money to pay bills and go to the casino.

The winner purchased the lucky ticket at Sunoco, 36887 Grosebeck Hwy., in Clinton Township.

$10,000,000 Game Book is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
