LANSING, September 28, 2007 – It was a solid gold win for one lucky player!  John Russo scratched a winning 24 Karat Gold Instant ticket and won $24,000!

The lucky Eaton Rapids man said he hid the ticket in his wallet before claiming his prize and plans to use the money to pay bills.

The winning ticket was purchased at Meijer #194, 1167 E. Clinton Trail, in Charlotte.

24 Karat Gold is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
