Club Keno prize "kicked up" to $40,000

LANSING, September 11, 2007 – Norm Heileman of Jenison watched all eight of his Club Keno numbers come up on the screen and he was very happy with the results!  The normal $10,000 prize was multiplied 4X because Heileman selected the Kicker option.  He quadrupled his prize to a huge $40,000!

This is the largest win to date for the 52-year-old regular Club Keno player.  He hid the easy pick ticket in his wallet prior to cashing it in at the Lottery’s Wyoming office.  He has no immediate plans for his prize money.  The lucky winner enjoys fishing in his free time.

The winning ticket was purchased at Play Station Pub, 1141 Leonard NW, in Grand Rapids.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
