Mega Millions prize won

LANSING, September 5, 2007 – A lucky Pontiac man plans to save his $10,000 prize, after matching four white ball numbers and the gold Mega ball number in the Aug. 10 Mega Millions drawing.

Erik Ceniceros hid his lucky winning easy pick ticket under a boxing trophy before cashing it in at the Lottery’s Sterling Heights office.

The lucky winning ticket was purchased at In N Out Food Store #8, 687 University Dr., in Pontiac.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
