LANSING, June 11, 2007 – With a prize of nearly $10.5, the Classic Lotto 47 jackpot has truly reached new heights!
No winning tickets were sold matching all six numbers in Saturday night’s drawing were sold, which means Wednesday night’s prize is a whopping $10.4 million.
Seven tickets were sold Saturday night matching five of six numbers to win $2,500 each. The winning numbers were 33 34 36 39 41 47. The next drawing is Wednesday.
Classic Lotto 47 is a six digit game drawn Wednesdays and Saturdays. Jackpots begin at $1 million and increase by $100,000 in every drawing.
The previous record jackpot in Classic Lotto 47, which was launched May 15, 2005, was $7,691,973, which was won on October 18, 2006 by a player from Sterling Heights.
Classic Lotto 47 tickets can be purchased at any Lottery retailer and sales for Wednesday night’s drawing will close at 7:08 p.m. on Wednesday.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
