LANSING, May 1, 2007 – A very lucky Mancelona man is $1,000,000 richer after his Millionaire Raffle number was drawn in the April 20 drawing.
The winner, who opted to remain anonymous, purchased the lucky winning ticket at Mancelona Sports, 311 N. Williams St., in Mancelona.
A complete list of all winning numbers is available on the Lottery’s Web site: https://www.michiganlottery.com/ and at Lottery regional offices. Tickets can be validated at any Lottery terminal.
The second Millionaire Raffle game sold only 600,000 tickets at all Lottery terminals across Michigan beginning March 12, 2007. Each ticket sold contained a unique six-digit number from 000001 to 500000. The 918 Raffle tickets were randomly selected.
Sales for a new raffle game, Super Raffle, will begin May 7. The game will feature two prizes of $2 million each, 25 prizes of $100,000 each and 4,500 prizes of $500 each. Tickets will be $50 each and only 250,000 will be sold.
Super Raffle will not take the place of Millionaire Raffle. The next Millionaire Raffle game is expected to be launched in the fall.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
