Lansing woman claims $100,000

LANSING, April 27, 2007 – A very lucky Lansing woman is $100,000 richer after her Millionaire Raffle number was drawn in the April 20 drawing.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said she was “screaming” when she realized that her ticket was a big winner.

She plans to use the prize money to pay bills, take a vacation and upgrade her car.

The winning ticket was purchased at Quality Dairy #9, 917 E. Cavanaugh, in Lansing.

A complete list of all winning numbers is now available on the Lottery’s Web site https://www.michiganlottery.com/ and at Lottery regional offices.  Tickets can be validated at any Lottery terminal.

The second Millionaire Raffle game sold only 600,000 tickets at all Lottery terminals across Michigan beginning March 12, 2007.  Each ticket sold contained a unique six-digit number from 000001 to 500000.  The 918 Raffle tickets were randomly selected.

Sales for a new raffle game, Super Raffle, will begin May 7.  The game will feature two prizes of $2 million each, 25 prizes of $100,000 each and 4,500 prizes of $500 each.  Tickets will be $50 each and only 250,000 will be sold.

Super Raffle will not take the place of Millionaire Raffle.  The next Millionaire Raffle game is expected to be launched in the fall.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
