LANSING, March 19, 2007 – Gary Tufnell knows how to spell is way to $35,000! The Lansing man scratched his way to the top prize on the Lottery’s Cashword Instant game.
The regular Lottery player plans to spend his prize money on himself.
The winning ticket was purchased at Westlunds Apple Market, 2301 E. Grand River Ave., in Lansing.
Cashword is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
