LANSING, March 1, 2007 – A very lucky regular Lottery player scratched his way to a $10,000 Super Red Hot Cashword prize!

John Scarbrough hid the lucky winning ticket in a safe box before cashing it in at the Lottery’s Wyoming office.  In his free time, Scarbrough enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, and trying his luck at the casino.

The lucky winning ticket was purchased at Cedar Creek Grocery, Inc., 9116 Cedar Creek Rd., in Delton.

Super Red Hot Cashword is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
