Winner has "Golden Ticket"

LANSING, October 13, 2006 – A lucky Alpena man had “The Golden Ticket” when he won $250,000!

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, scratched the winning Golden Ticket game and was “very excited” about the win.

He plans to use the money to pay for his children’s college educations.

The winning ticket was purchased at Harry’s Oil, 2222 US Highway 23, in Alpena.

The Golden Ticket is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at more than 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
