Winner claims big Club Keno prize

LANSING, September 5, 2006 – Donald Prill of Grand Rapids is a very lucky man!  He just won $30,000 playing Club Keno.

Prill, who purchased an 8-Spot ticket with the Kicker option, matched all eight numbers and got to multiply his $10,000 by three when the Kicker landed on “3X”.

He hid the ticket in a safe before claiming his prize and plans to use the money for bills, a vacation and savings.  In his spare time the 45-year-old enjoys photography and spending time with his grandchildren.

The winning “own pick” ticket was purchased at Cheer’s Good Time Saloon, 3994 Plainfield NE, in Grand Rapids.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
