Retired man wins $35,000

LANSING, May 22, 2006 – A very lucky 59-year-old Lottery player struck it rich when he scratched a winning Cashword ticket.

Frank Morehouse of Kalamazoo has been playing the Lottery for about 10 years.  This is his largest win to date.

The lucky winning ticket was purchased at Bartenders Stop, 2235 Mount Olivet Rd., in Kalamazoo.

Cashword is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at more than 10,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
