LANSING, March 25, 2003 – A lucky Jackson woman found her pot of gold at the end of the rainbow upon scratching off a Michigan Lottery "Green and Gold" instant game ticket to reveal a $17,000 top prize!

The lucky lady, who requested anonymity, purchased the winning ticket at Casablanca Party Store, 1800 W. Ganson St., in Jackson.

The winner, who works as a dietary aide, said she discovered she had won a top prize after scratching off the ticket at
her home.

"I was stunned and couldn’t believe that I had won," she said.  "I told my husband the good news right away, but we were both still in a state of shock!"

The happy winner, who enjoys playing Lottery games, gardening, walking and fishing in her free time, said she kept the winning ticket in a "safe place" prior to turning it at the Lottery’s regional office in Lansing. She said she plans to use part of her winnings to make home improvements and take a vacation, adding that she will save the remainder for the future.

"Green and Gold" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
